KPI Green Energy bags LOI for 76.6 MW DC wind-solar hybrid project in Gujarat

KPI Green Energy Limited has received a Letter of Intent (LOI) for the development of a 33.6/76.6 MW DC wind-solar hybrid power project under a Group Captive arrangement, the company said in a regulatory filing to the BSE and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) dated September 1, 2026.

The disclosure was made under Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015. The project comprises 33.6 MW of wind capacity and 33.6 MW AC/43 MW DC of solar capacity, aggregating to 33.6/76.6 MW DC, and will be developed in Gujarat for what the company described as a reputed customer under the Group Captive framework, according to the filing.

The company said the project would strengthen its presence in the commercial and industrial (C&I) and Group Captive renewable energy segments, enhance its wind, solar and hybrid capabilities, and add to its order book, supporting its broader strategy of expanding through Independent Power Producer (IPP), Group Captive and Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) opportunities.

As per details furnished in the annexure to the filing, the order has been awarded by a private body corporate on a domestic basis, and involves the establishment of a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) for the project’s development, ownership and operation. The company is required to complete development, construction and commissioning within 14 months of Stage-2 connectivity, and in any case by December 31, 2027, with the energy supply agreement carrying a term of 25 years from its commencement date, the filing showed.

KPI Green Energy stated that the order does not involve any interest of the promoter or promoter group in the awarding entity, and does not fall within the scope of related-party transactions.
