Bondada Engineering Ltd, part of the Bondada Group, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Goa Investment Promotion and Facilitation Board (Goa-IPB) for a proposed investment of around Rs 3,000 crore in renewable energy projects in the state, The Economic Times reported.
Signed on October 30, 2026, the agreement covers proposed projects in solar energy and biogas, which are expected to generate more than 700 employment opportunities.
The proposed investment is aimed at expanding Bondada Group’s presence in the renewable energy sector and supporting the Goa government’s efforts to promote clean energy, sustainable development and energy security, the company said in a statement.
Under the agreement, Goa-IPB will facilitate the permissions, registrations, approvals and clearances required to establish and operate the proposed projects. It will also help the company access eligible financial and other incentives available under the existing policies and regulations of the Goa government.
However, the MoU is non-binding, and the proposed investment and projects will be subject to further evaluation, statutory approvals, clearances and other necessary formalities.
The company said the initiative reflects its continued focus on expanding its renewable energy business, creating employment opportunities and contributing to the development of sustainable infrastructure.
