REnergy Dynamics has secured two waste-to-compressed biogas (CBG) projects from Refex Renewables, strengthening its position in the growing renewable fuels and circular economy sector.
The projects will convert municipal and organic waste into compressed biogas that can be used as fuel for transport and industrial applications. The agreement highlights increasing private sector investment in clean energy solutions aimed at reducing carbon emissions, Construction World reported.
Under the contract, REnergy Dynamics will handle project development, engineering and commissioning by using its existing technology and supply chain network. The company will also oversee feedstock management, anaerobic digestion, gas upgrading and compression before supplying the fuel to customers.
In addition, the company will manage operational activities and fuel offtake arrangements to support the integration of compressed biogas into the energy market.
Compressed biogas is considered a cleaner alternative to fossil fuels and can help reduce methane emissions from untreated waste. The projects are also expected to support municipal waste management efforts while creating local employment opportunities and new value chains linked to organic waste.
Industry stakeholders view such initiatives as contributing to broader climate goals and energy security targets without requiring significant changes in land use.
REnergy Dynamics said it plans to use the new contracts to expand its future project pipeline, strengthen partnerships within the renewable energy sector and increase deployment of waste-to-CBG facilities across different supply chains.
The agreement with Refex Renewables also reflects a growing trend of collaboration between waste management companies, technology providers and fuel distributors to convert organic waste into usable energy.
The company said it will monitor project milestones, improve operational efficiency and provide regular updates to investors and regulators as implementation progresses.
Rising demand for low-carbon transport fuels, supported by government incentives and corporate interest in sustainable fuels, is expected to further support the growth of the compressed biogas sector. REnergy Dynamics also plans to invest in workforce training and technology improvements to ensure stable operations and cost-effective fuel supply as the projects move forward.
