RENOVA’s Tokushima-Tsuda biomass plant in Japan resumes regular operation

RENOVA’s Tokushima-Tsuda biomass plant in Japan resumed regular operation on December 22 and is now running smoothly. The facility, owned by RENOVA’s subsidiary Tokushima-Tsuda Biomass Power Plant G.K., uses wood pellets and palm kernel shells as fuel.

The plant started operating in December 2023 but faced technical problems the following year. RENOVA decided to halt operations from September to December to carry out permanent improvement work.

The improvements, aimed at ensuring long-term stable operation, are now finished. The company stated that the financial impact for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025, has already been factored into its forecast released on May 8, 2024.
