DG Fuels plans to build sustainable aviation fuel plant in Midwest

A major national fuel company is teaming up with Nebraska to establish the first sustainable aviation fuel plant in the Midwest.

DG Fuels, a company specializing in sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), has announced plans to construct a production facility in Phelps County.

As per media report, the company expects the plant to commence operations in 2030, with an annual output of 193 million gallons of SAF featuring zero or low CO2 lifecycle emissions.

The facility in Phelps County will convert corn stover into high-value SAF, generating millions of dollars annually.

The project is anticipated to create approximately 650 jobs and provide various other local benefits.
