DCM Shriram Limited has commissioned its new Compressed Biogas (CBG) plant at the Ajbapur Unit. The company announced in a regulatory filing that the plant went live on 27th March 2025 at 9:00 AM, marking the commencement of commercial production.
The newly operational CBG plant utilizes the byproducts of the sugar process to produce an eco-friendly renewable fuel. This innovation significantly contributes to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and decreasing dependence on fossil fuels. Additionally, the plant will enhance the company’s revenue streams while reinforcing its commitment to sustainability.
Earlier, DCM Shriram had disclosed that its Board of Directors had approved the establishment of a 12 TPD integrated CBG plant at the Ajbapur Unit, with an investment of Rs. 131.30 crore.
