SECI seeks proposals to prepare DPRs for green hydrogen hubs

The Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI), a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), has invited proposals to prepare Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for establishing green hydrogen hubs under Component-B1 of India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission, Indian Web 2 reported.

SECI issued the Call for Proposals (CfP) on September 28, 2026. The deadline for submitting bids online is October 30, 2026.

Component-B1 of the National Green Hydrogen Mission covers the development of Green Hydrogen Hubs, which are regions identified and supported with infrastructure to facilitate large-scale production and/or utilisation of green hydrogen and its derivatives.

The government has allocated ₹400 crore for the initiative up to 2025-26, with at least two Green Hydrogen Hubs planned initially.

The hubs are envisaged as designated regions where large-scale production, storage and utilisation of green hydrogen will be concentrated. Dedicated infrastructure and government funding will support the development of these hubs as part of India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission.

SECI is the implementing agency for green hydrogen and methanol tenders under the mission. It has also been involved in green methanol procurement, including the 500,000-tonne green methanol auction.

Through the latest CfP, SECI is seeking agencies to prepare DPRs that will support the establishment of Green Hydrogen Hubs under Component-B1 of the National Green Hydrogen Mission.
