Samridh Bioenergy and CEID to build India’s Next-Gen 30,000 Cum/Day CBG Plant in Moradabad, UP

Samridh Bioenergy and Organics has conducted the groundbreaking ceremony for its upcoming 12-ton-per-day (TPD) waste-to-energy biogas plant, part of the National Bioenergy Programme spearheaded by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). The plant will be established in Hasanpur Patti village, Tehsil Bilari, in Moradabad district, Uttar Pradesh. CEID Consultants and Engineering Pvt. Ltd. has been appointed as the EPC/LSTK contractor for the project.

Spread across 12 acres, the facility will process 270 tons of organic waste daily, generating approximately 30,000 cubic meters of compressed biogas (CBG) per day. It will feature four digesters with a multi-feed system, allowing it to process diverse types of organic waste such as press mud (a sugar industry byproduct), cow dung, poultry litter, vegetable waste, and other seasonal organic materials. This design ensures continuous, year-round operations and supports a circular economy by converting agricultural and organic waste into clean, renewable energy.

CEID Consultants and Engineering Pvt. Ltd. is responsible for the complete engineering, procurement, and construction of the plant. The company aims to deliver the facility at full capacity within the next year. Once operational, the plant will supply CBG to Torrent Gas under the CBG-CGD Synchronization Scheme, in collaboration with GAIL (Gas Authority of India Limited). The plant is being constructed to meet industry standards for safety, efficiency, and long-term functionality.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Mr. Ashu Chib and Mr. Ashwani Chib, along with other team members from Samridh Bioenergy. CEID Consultants was represented by Mr. Prince Gandhi, Mr. Rajeev Gandhi, Mr. Abhinav Govil, Mr. Anup Maheshwari, and Ms. Veethika Singh.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Ashu Chib, Director of Samridh Bioenergy, said, “We are excited to mark the beginning of this significant project that reflects our commitment to sustainable energy. This 30,000 m³/day CBG plant will contribute meaningfully to the renewable energy landscape and benefit the local economy by converting agricultural and organic waste into clean energy. We look forward to the positive environmental impact it will create in Moradabad.”

Prince Gandhi, Founder and CEO of CEID Consultants and Engineering Pvt. Ltd., added, “We are honored to partner with Samridh Bioenergy on this initiative. As our second project in Moradabad, we are fully committed to delivering this high-capacity CBG plant within 12 months. This project showcases our dedication to advancing sustainable energy solutions and supporting India’s renewable energy goals.”
