Gulshan Polyols Limited’s 250 KLPD plant in Goalpara, Assam, has received, in addition to the benefits under the Assam Ethanol Production Promotion Policy, 2021 (AEPPP Policy), a Production Linked Incentive (PLI) of Rs. 2 per liter of bio-ethanol for an initial period of three years. This incentive will take effect prospectively following the Assam Cabinet’s meeting on December 7, 2024.
The company is also expected to receive an estimated benefit of Rs. 50 crore over the next three years, in addition to the incentives already being provided under the AEPPP Policy.
These incentives are expected to improve the company’s operational efficiency, support production growth, and positively impact overall performance.
To boost farmers’ income and promote cleaner fuel alternatives, the Assam Cabinet has approved a Production Linked Incentive (PLI) of Rs. 2 per liter of ethanol for three grain-based ethanol manufacturing units for a period of three years.
