ACME Solar Holdings Limited has signed a Power Procurement Agreement (PPA) with Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) for a 300 MW / 1,200 MWh assured peak supply project under SECI’s FDRE-IX tranche, at a tariff of Rs 6 per unit, effective from October 6, 2026, the company said in a press release.
The agreement was signed through the company’s subsidiary, ACME Greentech Twenty Pvt Ltd. According to ACME Solar, the Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project addresses the rising demand for reliable clean power that can be dispatched during evening and night-time peak hours. The company said this will help improve grid stability as renewable energy takes up a larger share of India’s power mix.
Under the project, ACME Solar will supply 4 MWh for every MW of contracted capacity for any four hours a day outside solar generation hours. It must also maintain a minimum availability of 90 per cent on a monthly basis.
The company said the project will use a mix of solar power and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) technology to meet its contractual obligations. It will also use the night-time grid connectivity the company already has.
With this agreement, ACME Solar said its under-construction capacity backed by signed PPAs has reached 4,310 MW, out of a total under-construction contracted capacity of 5,380 MW.
The company describes itself as a leading integrated renewable energy player. It has a contracted portfolio of 8,370 MW spread across solar, BESS, FDRE, hybrid and wind projects, and an operational capacity of about 3,123 MW along with 4.96 GWh of BESS capacity. ACME Solar said its in-house engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) and operations and maintenance (O&M) division handles end-to-end development and upkeep of its plants. The company credits this division with helping it deliver projects on time and at competitive cost. It also points to its capacity utilisation factor (CUF) and operating margins, which it calls industry-leading.
