Tata Power, TPEM launch Telangana’s first high-speed TATA.ev MegaCharger Hub in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Tata Power and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd. (TPEM) have strengthened electric vehicle charging infrastructure in Telangana with the launch of the state’s first high-speed TATA.ev MegaCharger Hub in Hyderabad.

The new charging facility, located at the iLabs Centre in Hitech City, has been designed to support faster EV adoption by offering high-capacity charging services for both personal and commercial users, The Economic Times reported.

The hub is equipped with a total charging capacity of 360 kW through three 120 kW chargers and can charge up to six electric vehicles simultaneously. The facility will operate 24 hours a day and serve private EV owners, commercial fleet operators, ride-hailing platforms and intercity travellers.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Telangana Special Chief Secretary Jayesh Ranjan and Gopalakrishnan VC, Director, Automotive and EV Sector, Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Karnataka, along with representatives from Tata Power and Tata Motors.

According to the companies, the Hyderabad facility forms part of the growing TATA.ev MegaCharger network, which now includes more than 750 charging points across urban centres and highway corridors nationwide.

Tata Power said its public EV charging network currently spans more than 6,500 charging points across over 700 cities and towns in India, supporting the country’s expanding electric mobility ecosystem.
