Ferrari has unveiled its first fully electric vehicle, the Ferrari Luce, marking a significant milestone in the company’s history as it enters the EV segment while introducing a five-seat configuration for the first time.
The new model was showcased during Ferrari’s World Premiere event in Italy on May 25. According to the company, the Luce has been developed to combine Ferrari’s traditional driving character with advanced technology and modern design, India Today reported.
The project brings together expertise from several global technology and design leaders. The vehicle was designed in collaboration with former Apple design chief Jony Ive and renowned industrial designer Marc Newson.
A major highlight of the Ferrari Luce is its technology-focused interior. Samsung has supplied an advanced OLED display system for the vehicle, featuring four separate screens integrated into the cockpit.
The setup includes a 12.9-inch driver display, a 12-inch lower OLED layer, a 10.1-inch central control screen and a 6.3-inch display for rear passengers. Ferrari has combined the digital interface with physical controls to maintain a balance between modern technology and the driving experience traditionally associated with the brand.
With the launch of the Luce, Ferrari is taking its first major step into the electric vehicle market while leveraging expertise from leading names in automotive design, consumer technology and display innovation. The company says the model is intended to preserve Ferrari’s performance heritage while embracing the future of mobility.
