Simple Energy launches ‘Ultra’ Electric scooter with 400 km range

Bengaluru: Simple Energy has launched its new electric scooter, the Simple Ultra, claiming it to be the longest-range model in India with an IDC range of 400 km.

Priced at ₹2.35 lakh (ex-showroom), the scooter is now available for purchase and test rides, with deliveries already underway across the country, The Times of India reported.

The model was first unveiled earlier this year as part of the company’s Gen 2 lineup, following the launch of updated versions of the Simple One and Simple OneS.

The Simple Ultra is powered by a 6.5 kWh battery pack and can reach a top speed of 115 kmph. It can accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph in 2.77 seconds, making it one of the fastest scooters in the company’s range.

The scooter comes with features such as four levels of traction control and a seven-inch digital display for ride information and controls.

Alongside the launch, the company said it is expanding its retail network. It currently has around 70 outlets across cities including Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kochi, with plans to enter more cities such as Nagpur, Ranchi and Bhubaneswar in the coming months.
