Pumpenfabrik Wangen launches BIO-MIX 200 pump for large biogas operations

Pumpenfabrik Wangen GmbH has expanded its product portfolio with the launch of the BIO-MIX 200, a progressive-cavity pump developed for use in large anaerobic digestion and biogas feedstock operations linked to renewable fuel production, Biofuel International reported.

The company said the new pump is designed to handle a wide range of materials, including slurry and fibrous inputs, with a conveying and mixing capacity of up to 150 cubic metres per hour. It is built to deliver high throughput and pressure while maintaining stable performance across varying material viscosities.

According to the manufacturer, the integrated design of the BIO-MIX 200 helps reduce wear and enables continuous operation. The pump is intended to improve the efficiency of feedstock handling for fermenters used in biogas-to-biomethane conversion, as well as other upstream biofuel processes.

Pumpenfabrik Wangen said the addition strengthens its offering for renewable energy and biofuel supply chains that rely on reliable, high-capacity material handling systems.
