DESCO Infratech Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with KPI Green Hydrogen and Ammonia Pvt. Ltd. and Naveriya Gas Pvt. Ltd. to collaborate on hydrogen-natural gas blending projects and related infrastructure development, according to the press release.
The MoU aims to foster a strategic partnership between the three companies to explore and implement projects that blend green hydrogen with natural gas, a crucial step in advancing India’s clean energy transition and meeting its decarbonization targets.
As part of the agreement, KPI Green Hydrogen and Ammonia will handle project investments and financial responsibilities, including the development of renewable energy and green hydrogen infrastructure.
Meanwhile, DESCO Infratech will serve as the technology partner, providing its expertise in hydrogen generation, compression, blending, and delivery systems.
Naveriya Gas will leverage its expertise in city gas distribution and natural gas pipeline infrastructure to support the project’s development.
Beyond blending initiatives, the three companies will also explore opportunities for establishing hydrogen compressor stations for use in vehicular fuel infrastructure along national highways.
This collaboration strengthens DESCO Infratech’s position as a key player in India’s emerging green hydrogen ecosystem and supports the company’s commitment to contributing to a sustainable energy future. The partnership aligns with DESCO’s strategic focus on innovation in clean energy technologies.
