Godrej & Boyce, the flagship company of the Godrej Group, has announced that its unit, Godrej Process Equipment, has shipped eight heat exchangers to one of the largest commercial-scale green hydrogen production facilities in the Middle East.
According to the media report, this initiative is part of the company’s strategy to double its market share in the region by 2027. These heat exchangers play a crucial role in facilitating heat transfer processes essential for hydrogen production. Among the equipment shipped are two units, each weighing over 300 metric tonnes, which are vital for managing the large fluid volumes required at the plant.
Hussain Shariyarr, Executive Vice President & Business Head of Godrej Process Equipment, emphasized the impact of the global shift towards sustainable energy sources, particularly the growth in renewables like green hydrogen. He highlighted that major hydrogen projects such as this are leading the charge in carbon reduction and clean energy adoption.
“Our preparedness and involvement in Green and Blue Hydrogen projects underscore our commitment to advancing technologies and solutions for sustainable energy production,” Shariyarr added. “We eagerly anticipate engaging in more Indian and global projects related to Hydrogen, Green Ammonia, and Green Methanol to further drive the green energy revolution.”
In addition to this significant accomplishment, Godrej Process Equipment has invested around Rs 300 Crore to enhance its manufacturing capabilities at its state-of-the-art facility in Dahej, Gujarat. This expansion aims to increase the company’s production of specialized and large-scale equipment for the hydrogen, clean energy, and power sectors.
