Praj Industries has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Sugar & Bio-energy Manufacturers Association (ISMA) to work together on advancing the bioeconomy and developing a strong, low-carbon bioenergy infrastructure.
This partnership will focus on pioneering Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and supporting the shift towards a more sustainable future. It marks an important step in improving energy security, lowering carbon emissions, and fostering sustainable growth.
The collaboration will also look into future possibilities in other bioenergy technologies, including 2G Ethanol, Compressed Biogas (CBG), Green Methanol, Green Hydrogen, and other emerging innovations.
Additionally, last month, Praj signed an MoU with the Vasantdada Sugar Institute in Pune to set up a Centre of Excellence (CoE) dedicated to the Bioeconomy-Farm to Fuel Approach.
Praj Industries remains a leader in technology-driven solutions for ethanol production, focusing on sustainability and customer needs worldwide. Over the past 40 years, the company has been dedicated to the environment, energy, and agri-processing, with more than 1,000 customer references in over 100 countries across all continents.
ISMA represents private sugar mills in India and aims to address the growing importance of bio-energy in the country’s energy transition.
