Praj Industries, a global leader in bioeconomy solutions, announced the appointment of Ashish Gaikwad as Managing Director-Designate, effective February 3, 2025. This marks a significant milestone in the company’s continued growth.
Gaikwad will succeed Shishir Joshipura, CEO & MD, upon the completion of his tenure on June 30, 2025. To ensure a smooth transition, Gaikwad will work closely with Joshipura and the leadership team in the coming months, maintaining continuity in Praj’s strategic goals.
With over 34 years of experience in industrial automation, digitalization, process technology, renewable energy transition, artificial intelligence, and autonomous manufacturing, Gaikwad is well-equipped for his new role. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) in Electrical & Electronics from BITS Pilani, India. Prior to joining Praj Industries, Gaikwad led Honeywell Automation India Ltd. as Managing Director for more than seven years, and held various leadership roles across India, Southeast Asia, Asia Pacific, and the USA, with a focus on project engineering, sales leadership, strategy, business management, and corporate governance.
