Adani Power hits record high, up 44% ahead of Q4 results announcement

Shares of Adani Power touched a record high on Tuesday as investors reacted to strong summer power demand and the company’s expansion plans, ahead of its fourth-quarter results.

The stock rose more than 1 percent to Rs 223.50 during the session, surpassing its previous close of Rs 218.05. The company’s market capitalisation increased to Rs 4.25 lakh crore, with over 12 lakh shares traded, reflecting active market participation, Business Today reported.

The recent rally has been supported by expectations of higher electricity demand during the ongoing summer season. The company has also signaled its entry into the nuclear energy sector by setting up two subsidiaries—Adani Atomic Energy Ltd. and Rawatbhata-Raj Atomic Energy Ltd.

The company is scheduled to announce its financial results for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2026, on April 29. It will also hold an investor and analyst call on the same day to discuss its performance and future outlook.

Over the past few years, the stock has delivered strong returns, gaining 391 percent in three years and over 1,000 percent in five years. It has also risen 44 percent in the last one month alone. However, analysts note that the stock has shown volatility, with indicators suggesting it is currently in an overbought zone.

In the previous quarter, the company reported a decline in earnings. Net profit fell nearly 19 percent year-on-year to Rs 2,479.58 crore, while revenue dropped about 9 percent to Rs 12,451.44 crore. Both figures also declined compared to the previous quarter.

Investors are now awaiting the upcoming results for a clearer picture of the company’s financial performance and growth direction.
