New Delhi: NTPC Green Energy Limited, a fully owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has entered into an agreement with the Government of Uttar Pradesh to work together on renewable energy and green hydrogen projects in the state, reports APAC Media.
The agreement was signed during the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos, Switzerland.
Under the arrangement, the focus will be on supplying renewable power to support green hydrogen production across Uttar Pradesh. The collaboration aims to speed up the use of clean energy solutions, build a stronger green energy base, and cut emissions in major industrial and energy sectors in the state.
Both sides will jointly plan, carry out, and oversee the renewable energy facilities needed for green hydrogen projects. The partnership also includes the use of practical and expandable solutions that match the state’s clean energy and climate goals.
The agreement was signed by Vijay Kiran Anand, Chief Executive Officer of Invest UP and UPSIDA, and DMR Panda, Executive Director of NTPC Green Energy Limited. Uttar Pradesh Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna, along with senior officials from the state government and the NTPC Group, were present at the signing.
