Australian renewable energy retailer Zen Energy has partnered with DGA Energy Solutions Australia to co-develop green hydrogen projects benefiting DGA’s Japanese parent company, Mitsubishi Corp, reported Renewables Now.
As per media report, the collaboration aims to support Mitsubishi’s decarbonization efforts and aligns with DGA’s hydrogen strategy, Zen Energy announced on Thursday.
Under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Zen and DGA are expanding their existing partnership focused on delivering renewable electricity and renewable hydrogen into new sustainable value chains. They will leverage Zen’s expertise in procuring, trading, and marketing green power alongside DGA’s proficiency in designing and executing hydrogen and ammonia projects in Oceania. Mitsubishi will contribute its trading and investment expertise.
Kentaro Matsumura, managing director of DGA Energy Solutions Australia, stated that the collaboration with Zen will help advance DGA’s goal of becoming a leading supplier of green hydrogen in Oceania. The company plans to begin with local production for domestic use in Australia, followed by exports to Asia.
