SOCAR Turkiye has announced plans to produce eco-friendly aviation fuel, the company’s CEO Elchin Ibadov revealed at a press conference about SOCAR Turkiye and its group companies, reported abac.az.
Ibadov stated that SOCAR Turkiye’s roadmap for sustainable development has been approved. He also mentioned that over 10 projects focused on sustainable development have already been developed.
“The main objective is to produce eco-friendly aviation fuel. This fuel can be created either from algae or from oils used at home. Research is currently underway in this area,” he said.
SOCAR is Turkey’s largest foreign investor, having invested a total of $18.5 billion in the country over the past 17 years.
