Belding India forms joint venture with HD Fabcon to enter battery storage and renewable energy sector

Belding India has announced the incorporation of a new subsidiary, Belding HD India, through a joint venture with HD Fabcon as the company expands into the battery energy storage system and renewable energy segment.

Under the partnership structure, Belding India will hold a 55 percent stake in the new entity, while HD Fabcon will own the remaining 45 percent, Business Standard reported.

The company said the joint venture will combine HD Fabcon’s strengths in business development and market access with Belding India’s capabilities in execution, operations, project management and manufacturing through its group entities.

Belding HD India will focus on identifying, securing, executing and managing projects across the energy sector, with priority given to scalable business opportunities, large-scale projects and building long-term strategic customer relationships.

The announcement was made ahead of market opening on June 23, 2026.

Belding India, formerly known as Synthiko Foils, currently operates in the pharmaceutical packaging industry and is engaged in slitting, lamination, coating and printing of aluminium foils.

The company’s latest financial results showed a consolidated net loss of Rs 4.65 crore for the quarter ended March 2026, compared with a net loss of Rs 0.13 crore in the corresponding period a year earlier. Sales during the fourth quarter of FY26 stood at Rs 0.03 crore.

The formation of the joint venture marks Belding India’s entry into emerging energy-related businesses as companies increasingly explore opportunities linked to renewable power and energy storage infrastructure.
