Green hydrogen centre of excellence to be established in Gandhidham

Gandhidham: A new Centre of Excellence focused on green hydrogen technology will soon be built in Gandhidham, Kutch district. The project, led by the Deendayal Port Authority (DPA), is expected to cost ₹75.07 crore and will be completed within 10 months, reports DeshGujarat.

The centre will be built on land next to the Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Convention Centre, which was opened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2022.

The plan includes constructing a modern building with drywalls, complete interior work, plumbing and electrical fittings, soundproof systems, video and audio equipment, internal roads, and landscaped surroundings. The facility is designed to meet high environmental standards and aims to earn top ratings under green building guidelines.

Detailed plans for the building’s structure and design must be approved by the appropriate authorities before construction begins. These plans will include everything from building layouts and furniture to water supply, sanitation, fire safety, lighting, air conditioning, security cameras, and garden spaces.

The deadline for submitting bids was May 14, 2025. Once submitted, the bids will remain valid for 120 days.
