New Delhi: New Delhi will host an international conference on December 5 and 6, focusing on critical global issues such as ecosystem restoration, green hydrogen production, and improving industrial water usage. The conference is organised by the India Water Foundation with support from the Ministry of Jal Shakti, the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, the Ministry of Power, and the South and South West Asia Office of UNESCAP.
The conference is titled “Deciphering Transversality of Water Energy Environment Nexus,” and it aims to explore the growing challenges in trying to balance water, energy, and environmental sustainability. It includes Union Minister of State for Corporate Affairs, Road Transport, and Highways Harsh Malhotra and Union Minister of State for Jal Shakti Raj Bhushan Choudhary among the key speakers.
The conference will focus on solutions to problems like renewable energy, and the interrelation between water, energy, and health. Organizers said the event will be a venue for experts, policymakers, and industry leaders from over 30 countries to share ideas and develop strategies for sustainable development.
“This gathering is a step toward finding real, workable solutions for global challenges. It is about bringing people together to create meaningful change,” said an official from the India Water Foundation.
Held at the Dr Ambedkar International Centre, the event will also discuss opportunities for innovation and cooperation to address pressing concerns affecting communities worldwide. It aims to strengthen collaboration among policymakers, researchers, academics, and the private sector to promote sustainable growth and resource efficiency.
