The Andhra Pradesh Government has allotted 45 acres of land in Kakinada to SAF One India SPKompact Pvt Ltd for setting up a Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) production facility with a proposed investment of Rs 1,835 crore.
SAF One India SPKompact is a subsidiary of Dubai-based SAF One Energy Management Limited. The project is expected to create around 2,500 direct and indirect employment opportunities in the region, The Hindu Businessline reported.
The proposal was recommended by the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB), which supported the allotment of identified land owned by the Andhra Pradesh Maritime Board (APMB) for the project. The recommendation was made in line with the provisions of the APMB Land Allotment Guidelines, 2026.
Following the recommendation, the state government approved the allocation of the land and authorised the Andhra Pradesh Maritime Board to execute a long-term lease agreement with the company.
According to the government decision, the land will be provided on lease for a period of 30 years. Lease rentals and other applicable charges will be levied in accordance with prevailing norms.
The government order stated that the allotment has been made on an “as-is-where-is” basis and remains subject to the company securing all required statutory approvals, regulatory clearances and compliance permissions from the relevant authorities before commencing development.
The proposed facility is expected to strengthen industrial activity in Kakinada while supporting investments in sustainable fuel production and expanding opportunities in the clean energy sector.
