Diamond Power Infrastructure has secured an order worth about Rs 31.51 crore from Tata Power Renewable Energy for supplying 869 kilometres of new-generation ECO conductors for renewable energy transmission projects across India, energetica India reported.
According to the company, the conductors will be used in power evacuation projects linked to renewable energy installations in Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and Karnataka. The order is expected to support the expansion of renewable energy infrastructure and strengthen the power transmission network.
Diamond Power said it is expanding its range of advanced transmission conductors to meet the needs of modern power grids and renewable energy integration.
The company is focusing on high-efficiency products such as ECO conductors, AL-59 conductors, GAP conductors and High Temperature Low Sag (HTLS) conductors, which are designed to carry higher power loads, reduce transmission losses and operate at higher temperatures.
These conductors are particularly suited for renewable energy evacuation corridors and high-capacity transmission networks.
Diamond Power also supplies medium-voltage power cables ranging from 3.3 kV to 33 kV for renewable energy projects including solar parks, wind farms and hybrid energy installations.
Over the past two years, the company said it has supplied more than 12,000 kilometres of medium-voltage power cables and over 18,000 kilometres of AL-59 conductors for renewable energy developers and transmission projects across the country.
The company added that the use of ECO and other advanced conductors enables utilities to transmit higher volumes of electricity through existing transmission corridors while improving grid efficiency and lowering environmental impact.
