V-GREEN and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) have announced a collaborative partnership to jointly establish electric vehicle charging stations (EVCS) at HPCL fuel stations across multiple markets. Under the agreement, V-GREEN will utilize HPCL’s extensive fuel station network to develop EV charging infrastructure, aimed at improving the charging experience for EV users, accelerating the electrification of transportation in India, and supporting the long-term growth of the VinFast and HP e-Charge brands in the country.
HPCL is one of India’s largest state-owned oil and gas companies, operating more than 24,400 retail outlets nationwide and managing over 5,300 electric vehicle charging stations under its HP e-Charge brand.
The partnership comes at a strategically important time as India intensifies its shift toward green mobility. HPCL’s widespread retail outlet presence offers a strong foundation for the rapid deployment of EV charging infrastructure and seamless nationwide expansion.
V-GREEN Global Charging Station Development Company, based in Vietnam, was founded by VinFast founder Pham Nhat Vuong with the objective of investing in and developing charging infrastructure to support VinFast’s global expansion, with India identified as a key market. In Vietnam, V-GREEN has established a leading position by operating around 150,000 charging ports nationwide and by continuously collaborating with multiple partners to expand its network.
The collaboration with HPCL marks the next phase in the joint efforts of V-GREEN, VinFast and their partners in India to build a comprehensive electric vehicle ecosystem. This ecosystem spans vehicle manufacturing, charging infrastructure, after-sales services and battery recycling, and is seen as a critical step toward enabling mass EV adoption and promoting sustainable transportation in the world’s third-largest automotive market.
Founded by billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong, V-GREEN is focused on developing a large-scale charging network for VinFast electric vehicles, with more than 150,000 charging ports currently in operation across Vietnam. The company has also expanded into Indonesia and the Philippines and is actively exploring opportunities in other high-potential international markets.
Guided by its mission, “For a Green Future for Everyone,” V-GREEN aims to position itself as a global leader in green infrastructure by providing smart, convenient and flexible EV charging solutions.
