Tesla India opens its first Collision Centre in Mumbai in partnership with Gautam Modi Group

Tesla India has reached a major milestone with the opening of its first Collision Centre in Mumbai, created in partnership with the Gautam Modi Group. Situated in the busy locality of Kalina, the modern facility is designed to provide world-class repair, bodywork, and maintenance services exclusively for Tesla’s expanding community of electric vehicle owners in the country.

The inauguration event saw participation from senior leaders of both organisations. Gautam Modi, Managing Director of the Gautam Modi Group, and Nidhi Modi, Director of the Group, attended the ceremony alongside senior Tesla India officials. Their presence highlighted the significance of the partnership and their shared commitment to enhancing the after-sales experience for EV customers in India.

The new Collision Centre features advanced tools, diagnostic systems, and specialized infrastructure that align with Tesla’s global standards. Certified technicians trained by Tesla will manage operations at the facility, ensuring high-precision repairs, efficient service processes, and reduced vehicle downtime.

The Gautam Modi Group, known for its broad business portfolio and strong standing in the automotive sector, is taking a significant step into the electric vehicle service space with this collaboration.

Industry experts view Tesla’s decision to open its first Collision Centre in Mumbai as a strategic choice. The city hosts one of India’s largest bases of luxury EV owners and early adopters of Tesla vehicles. The new centre is expected to greatly improve service turnaround times and elevate the overall ownership experience.

Beyond operational expansion, the launch reflects Tesla’s deepening commitment to establishing a solid presence in India. With additional service centres and partnerships on the horizon, the company appears set to strengthen its role in the country’s growing electric mobility ecosystem.
The partnership between Tesla and the Gautam Modi Group marks a key step toward building a robust electric vehicle service infrastructure, aligned with India’s broader push for sustainable and technologically advanced mobility.
