AM Green to invest Rs 10,000 crore to set up multiple biorefineries of 2G ethanol and 180 KTPA SAF plant

AM Green Group and the Government of Andhra Pradesh have signed a series of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) valued at Rs. 54,000 crore during the CII Partnership Summit in Vizag on November 14.

As part of this partnership, AM Green will invest Rs. 44,000 crore in Kakinada (Uppada) to establish a 1-million-tonne-per-annum Green Aluminium Complex in two phases, alongside one of the world’s largest RFNBO-compliant Green Ammonia facilities of the same scale. Additionally, the company plans to invest Rs. 10,000 crore to set up multiple biorefineries for 2G ethanol production and a 180 KTPA Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) plant across the regions of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, and Anakapalli. This ambitious project will create an integrated “farm to flight” ecosystem, positioning North Andhra Pradesh as a global hub for next-generation biofuels.

AM Green is leading the charge towards a net-zero future with its innovative products and solutions. By leveraging cutting-edge technology, the company is revolutionizing industries with disruptive solutions that play a key role in advancing sustainability and carbon neutrality.

A major part of AM Green’s impact is its portfolio of green chemicals, which includes products like Green Ammonia, Green Hydrogen, Green Olefins, Green Chlorine, Green Caustic Soda, and Green Methanol. These eco-friendly chemicals help industries transition to more sustainable operations, reducing carbon emissions while offering performance that is on par with, or even exceeds, traditional alternatives.
