According to data released by the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service on September 4, the U.S. exported 88,432.8 metric tonnes of biodiesel and biodiesel blends of B30 and higher in July. During the same month, U.S. biodiesel imports totaled 86,483 metric tons.
The July export figure of 88,432.8 metric tonnes was an increase compared to the 67,622.2 metric tonnes exported in June but a decrease from the 97,462.6 metric tonnes exported in July of the previous year.
In July, the U.S. exported biodiesel to around seven countries. Canada was the leading destination, receiving 83,417.3 metric tonnes, followed by Peru with 4,762.2 metric tonnes and Germany with 160 metric tonnes.
