Visakhapatnam: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone virtually for key projects, including NTPC’s Green Hydrogen Project during his visit to Visakhapatnam on January 8, as confirmed by official sources. He is expected to arrive at INS Dega airport and then head to the Andhra University Engineering College grounds around 3 p.m, reported The Hindu.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan will be present to welcome the Prime Minister upon his arrival.
Sources from the NTPC-Simhadri unit confirmed on January 2, 2025, that they had received official communication about Mr Modi’s visit and began preparations for the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Green Hydrogen Project.
NTPC CMD Gurdeep Singh is expected to visit Visakhapatnam on January 6 to oversee the arrangements for the event.
