Neste, the world’s leading producer of renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel, has been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) for the 18th consecutive year. This recognition highlights Neste’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and its significant role in driving the transition to a lower-carbon economy and society.
Neste is featured in both the DJSI World and DJSI Europe indices, ranking among the top performers in its sector. The company particularly excelled in areas such as human rights, biodiversity, climate strategy, and supply chain management, outpacing its industry peers.
“Being recognized by the DJSI as one of the world’s leading sustainable companies is a great honor for everyone at Neste,” said Päivi Makkonen, Vice President of Sustainability at Neste. “In 2024, our renewable and circular solutions have made a meaningful impact by supporting more sustainable societies globally and helping our customers and partners meet their sustainability targets. This acknowledgment motivates us to continue advancing both our own operations and the broader industry towards greater sustainability.”
The Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) are a globally recognized benchmark that evaluates companies based on their economic, environmental, and social performance. Companies are selected for the DJSI through an extensive assessment by S&P Global, using their S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA). Only the highest-ranking companies in each industry are included. The current assessment reflects performance during 2023.
Neste’s leadership in sustainability is also affirmed by other prominent sustainability ratings and indices, including CDP, Sustainalytics, EcoVadis, MSCI ESG Rating Index, and Global 100.
