Kalpataru Projects is looking at green hydrogen electrolyser manufacturing to expand its footprint

Kalpataru Projects International, formerly known as Kalpataru Power Transmission, is exploring opportunities to broaden its business scope by venturing into green hydrogen electrolyser manufacturing, as stated by the company’s Director, Amit Uplenchwar, reported ETEnergyWorld.

According to Uplenchwar, the company is continuously seeking to expand its engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) capabilities across various sectors, with a strategic focus on emerging energy transition sectors such as hydrogen and nuclear power.

“We are planning to expand our manufacturing operations across multiple product lines… Specifically, we are eyeing green hydrogen electrolyser manufacturing, which is crucial for the future development of the entire hydrogen value chain,” Uplenchwar stated.

He further mentioned that the company is exploring options for a joint venture or foreign collaboration in electrolyser manufacturing, leveraging their existing gigafactories located in Raipur and Gandhinagar.

Kalpataru Projects International is actively monitoring developments in nuclear energy and aims to participate in EPC projects and expand its energy portfolio as opportunities arise in the future.

As one of India’s largest engineering and construction firms, Kalpataru Projects International boasts a diversified project portfolio spanning power transmission and distribution, buildings, factories, water supply, irrigation, railways, pipelines, highways, and airports across more than 70 countries worldwide.
