GreenGasUSA and Wayne-Sanderson Farms have announced a partnership to produce renewable natural gas (RNG) at multiple Wayne-Sanderson Farms facilities across the U.S. By utilizing existing wastewater treatment and biogas resources, the collaboration aims to bring pipeline-quality RNG to market. The companies also plan to explore and develop additional RNG facilities at other poultry processing sites within the Wayne-Sanderson Farms network, focusing on locations with the greatest potential to reduce methane emissions and those capable of integrating a liquid CO2 recovery system.
“Wayne-Sanderson Farms has already demonstrated leadership in reducing waste and promoting circularity within their operations. By combining their innovative strategies with GreenGas’s expertise in RNG, we will maximize RNG production and enhance environmental benefits on-site, including further reducing Scope 1 emissions in Wayne-Sanderson Farms’ carbon footprint,” said Marc Fetten, CEO and Founder of GreenGasUSA. “We are proud to collaborate with Wayne-Sanderson Farms to expand their successful biogas operations and support their climate goals.”
Paul Billingsley, Vice President of Development and Engineering at Wayne-Sanderson Farms, stated, “We understand that addressing environmental challenges requires collaboration, and we are excited to lead the way in renewable energy innovation with GreenGasUSA. This partnership underscores our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint and advancing a more sustainable future.”
