Gurugram: Elan Energy has achieved a significant milestone in its journey towards advancing India’s Compressed Biogas (CBG) ecosystem by securing a consultancy assignment from Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) for the development of predominantly Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) and paddy straw-based CBG plants, according to a press release.
The scope covers consultancy services for setting up CBG plants with a production capacity of 5–10 TPD across selected locations in Maharashtra and Haryana. The project represents an important step towards converting municipal waste and agricultural residue into a reliable source of renewable energy while supporting the broader objectives of sustainable waste management and circular economy development.
The tender was structured across four locations: Gadchiroli, Mira-Bhayandar and Kalyan Dombivli in Maharashtra, and Manesar in Haryana. The assignment involves consultancy and works-contract services associated with the development of these CBG projects.
For Elan Energy, the BPCL assignment reflects its growing capabilities in the CBG and renewable-energy domain and its continued focus on delivering technically sound and commercially viable solutions for large-scale energy projects.
