Tata Steel UISL launches new biogas plants for greener energy

Jamshedpur: Tata Steel UISL has opened two new modern biogas plants at the GT Hostel and United Club. The plants were officially opened by Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President of Corporate Services at Tata Steel, and Ritu Raj Sinha, Managing Director of Tata Steel UISL, reports The Avenue Mail.

These new plants are designed to handle up to 200 kilograms of food waste each day and produce 8 kilograms of gas per day. This initiative shows Tata Steel UISL’s dedication to using clean, renewable energy and reducing waste.

The opening event was attended by several important figures, including Varun Bajaj, Chief of Town Infrastructure & Logistics; Rabindra Kumar Singh, General Manager of Town Operations & Maintenance; Jyoti Prakash, CFO of Tata Steel UISL; and Ravish Kumar, President of JHRA.

Tata Steel UISL developed and built these plants to reduce the amount of food waste and create renewable energy. This project aligns with the company’s goal of creating a more environmentally friendly and sustainable future.
