Inox Wind Limited (IWL) has secured a repeat order for a 200 MW turnkey wind project from NLC India Limited, with an approximate contract value of Rs 1,600 crore, the company said in a press release.
The order will be executed on a turnkey basis, with Inox Wind responsible for the end-to-end execution of the project, including supply of wind turbine generators, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), and post-commissioning operations and maintenance services, the company said. The project is scheduled to be commissioned within 24 months from the date of the Letter of Award (LoA).
With this order, Inox Wind’s total order book stands at 4.7 GW, comprising a diversified mix of commercial and industrial (C&I) customers, public sector undertakings (PSUs) and independent power producers (IPPs), the company said. It added that this balanced customer portfolio provides strong revenue visibility and underscores the company’s position in serving the evolving requirements of India’s renewable energy sector.
Sanjeev Agarwal, CEO of Inox Wind, said the repeat order from NLC India, one of India’s leading public sector enterprises in the power sector, validated the company’s integrated turnkey capabilities, execution expertise and product portfolio. He said the company’s diversified order pipeline provided significant growth visibility and that it looked forward to delivering the project within the stipulated timeline.
Agarwal added that customers were increasingly partnering with experienced and reliable wind original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) capable of delivering projects from concept to commissioning, as India accelerates its renewable energy transition.
Inox Wind, part of the INOXGFL Group, operates five manufacturing plants across Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh, producing blades, tubular towers, hubs and nacelles, with manufacturing capacity of about 2.5 GW per annum, according to the company. Its subsidiary, Inox Green Energy Services Ltd, is stated to be India’s only listed pure-play renewable operations and maintenance (O&M) services company, with a portfolio of about 13.3 GW of assets.
