ACME Solar Holdings Limited on July 17, 2026, issued a media statement refuting reports circulating on social media and other platforms that claimed damage to 13 battery energy storage system (BESS) containers at its ACME Suryodaya BESS facility in Pokhran, Rajasthan.
The company said such claims were incorrect, clarifying that only four power conversion systems (PCS) were affected due to a localised fire caused by an IGBT (insulated-gate bipolar transistor) or short circuit fault. According to the statement, there was no damage to any BESS containers at the facility, and the fire was brought under control promptly by the company’s in-house fire safety teams in line with established safety protocols.
ACME Solar said the overall revenue impact from the incident was not material, estimating the loss at around Rs 20 lakh. The company added that the damaged equipment was being restored using spares, with the process expected to be completed within a week.
The company reiterated its commitment to timely and transparent disclosure of material information to stakeholders and urged them not to rely on unofficial information, advising that updates be sought only through stock exchange filings or other authorised communication channels.
The statement was filed with BSE Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India Limited, and was signed by Rajesh Sodhi, Company Secretary and Compliance Officer, ACME Solar Holdings Limited. The company noted that the submission was voluntary and not to be treated as a disclosure under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
