MRIDC Presents Progress of Key ROBs, Flyovers and Future Mobility Projects at High-Level Review Meeting with Hon. Union Minister Shri. Nitin Gadkari

Nagpur: The Maharashtra Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. (MRIDC) presented the progress status of several strategic infrastructure projects before Hon. Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari, during a high-level review meeting held in Nagpur. The hon. minister reviewed the implementation status of ongoing projects, appreciated the progress made, and directed all concerned agencies to fast-track execution through close coordination, supporting Nagpur’s next phase of urban transformation.

The review primarily focused on the progress of four major infrastructure projects being executed in Nagpur:
• Mominpura Road Over Bridge (ROB)
• Ajni Road Over Bridge (ROB)
• Jagnade Chowk Flyover
• Hasanbagh–Nirmal Nagari Flyover

MRIDC Managing Director Shri Rajesh Kumar Jaiswal presented a comprehensive review of the status of these projects, highlighting the progress achieved, key implementation challenges, and the proposed action plan for their timely completion.

The presentation also showcased two important infrastructure projects in the Nagpur region that are fully completed and ready for inauguration:

• Road Over Bridge at Level Crossing No. 73 (Dipti Signal) on the Itwari–Nagbhir Railway Line.
• Road Under Bridge connecting the Dipti Signal area with Shantinagar and Lakadganj.

In addition, MRIDC presented proposals for seven new flyovers across the city, along with the proposed junction improvement at Kawrapeth Road Over Bridge. The Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) and General Arrangement Drawings (GADs) for these projects have already been prepared and submitted for approval at Mantralaya.

During the meeting, Hon. Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari emphasized the importance of timely execution and directed all concerned departments to resolve pending issues requiring coordination with the Central and State Governments. He instructed officials to ensure that all infrastructure projects are completed within the stipulated timelines while maintaining accountability at every stage of implementation.

The meeting was attended by MLAs Shri Krishna Khopde, Shri Mohan Mate, and Shri Pravin Datke, Mayor Smt. Nita Thakre, former Mayor Shri Dayashankar Tiwari, former MLA Shri Vikas Kumbhare, Nagpur Municipal Commissioner Shri Vipin Itankar, Nagpur Collector Shri Kumar Ashirwad, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Shri Vinayak Garg, Chairman, Nagpur Improvement Trust, Shri Sanjay Meena, senior officials from the Public Works Department, South East Central Railway (SECR), and other district-level departments.

The review meeting reinforces the Government’s continued focus on strengthening Nagpur’s transportation infrastructure through the timely implementation of strategically important Road Over Bridges (ROBs), Road Under Bridges (RUBs), flyovers, and junction improvement projects. As the implementing agency, MRIDC remains committed to delivering these projects efficiently, supporting the vision of “MAKING MAHARASHTRA RAIL FATAK FREE STATE” and “BRIDGING THE ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE GAPS ACROSS RAILWAY LINES”.
