Arunachal Pradesh Energy Development Agency conducts training program on ‘Biogas technology and vermicompost’

Beneficiaries of biogas systems and officials from the East Siang district office of the Arunachal Pradesh Energy Development Agency (APEDA) participated in a training program on ‘Biogas technology and vermicompost’ organized by the APEDA office on Friday, reported The Arunachal Times.

Addressing the participants, APEDA Project Director Kape Badak explained that the training aimed to raise awareness about the benefits of operating and maintaining biogas plants, and to familiarize officials and stakeholders with the practical aspects of biogas technology.

He emphasized the significance of biogas in energy conservation, noting it as a renewable and clean energy source. Badak announced that 98 beneficiaries have been selected to benefit from the scheme during the 2023-’24 financial year.

Jon Mani Kalita, BDTC Project Manager from IIT Guwahati (Assam), and Anup Dutta, Senior Project Assistant, served as the resource persons for the program.
