INOXGFL group to acquire 600 MW wind portfolio and 4.5 GW O&M business

The INOXGFL Group has acquired 600 MW of wind power projects and 4.5 GW of operations and maintenance (O&M) business from wind energy developer Wind World India, MERCC reported.

The acquisition will be carried out through two separate group companies. Inox Clean Energy will take over the 600 MW independent power producer (IPP) portfolio through its subsidiary, Inox Neo Energies. Meanwhile, Inox Green Energy will acquire the 4.5 GW O&M business. The deal was completed under a resolution process approved by the National Company Law Tribunal.

The 600 MW portfolio consists of operational wind projects located in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Andhra Pradesh. These projects will now become part of Inox Clean Energy’s renewable platform, which develops, owns, and operates large-scale wind, solar, and hybrid power projects.

With this addition, Inox Clean Energy will expand its operational wind capacity and move closer to its target of reaching 10 GW of installed renewable power capacity and 11 GW of integrated solar manufacturing capacity by the financial year 2028 through its manufacturing arm, Inox Solar.

The O&M business being taken over by Inox Green covers nearly 4.5 GW of wind assets under maintenance. Its clients include major renewable energy and industrial companies such as the Tata Group, ReNew, Greenko Group, Apraava Energy, and Hindustan Zinc. Following the acquisition, Inox Green’s total renewable assets under management will increase beyond its current portfolio of around 13.3 GW.

Earlier this year, Inox Green signed an agreement with KEC International to provide maintenance services for a 625 MW solar project in Bhadla, Rajasthan.

In the same month, Inox Clean Energy and its subsidiary Inox Solar raised ₹31 billion (about $342.83 million) in equity funding, valuing the company at ₹500 billion (around $5.54 billion) before the investment. The company said the funds would be used to expand its renewable power generation and solar manufacturing capacity.

In December 2025, Inox Clean Energy also acquired the Indian IPP portfolio of Vibrant Energy, a platform owned by Macquarie.
