Japan’s RENOVA, Inc. has resumed normal operations at its Tokushima Tsuda Biomass Power Plant after completing repairs to equipment that had forced the facility to shut down earlier this month.
The company said the plant, operated by its consolidated subsidiary Tokushima Tsuda Biomass Power Plant G.K., returned to normal operations on July 25 following repairs to a damaged steam control valve connected to the high-pressure turbine, Asian Power reported.
The biomass power plant had been offline since July 8 due to the equipment failure.
RENOVA said the duration of the outage was within the level of unscheduled shutdown days factored into the original operating plan for its biomass power generation business.
As a result, the company said the temporary suspension is not expected to affect its consolidated financial forecast for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027.
The company added that it would provide further updates if any material developments arise.
