The Nebraska Corn Board has opened applications for its Blender Pump Grant Program, aiming to expand access to higher ethanol fuel blends at fuel stations across the state, reports High Plains Journal.
Under the program, fuel retailers can apply for grants of up to $50,000 per location to install equipment that supports mid- to high-level ethanol blends such as E15, E30 and E85. The funding will be provided based on the criteria and conditions outlined in the application guidelines.
The initiative is intended to encourage wider availability of ethanol-blended fuels, including E85, by helping retailers cover part of the cost of upgrading or installing compatible infrastructure.
Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. on January 23. Additional details about the program and the application process are available on the Nebraska Corn Board website nebraskacorn.gov/corn-101/corn-uses/ethanol .
