Splitwaters announces plans to establish multiple e-SAF production sites in United States

Texas-based electrolyzer manufacturer Splitwaters has announced plans to establish multiple e-SAF production facilities across the United States. These facilities will utilize Splitwaters’ advanced alkaline electrolyzers and Topsoe’s technology for backend fuel and chemical production, reported SAF Investor.

“Today’s e-fuels market requires innovative solutions that benefit the industry, developers, and investors. By combining Topsoe’s licensing expertise with Splitwaters’ cutting-edge electrolyzer manufacturing and customized EPC services for green hydrogen and e-fuels, we will deliver highly modular solutions for producing ammonia, methanol, and other electrofuels, including SAF,” stated Deepak Bawa, CEO of Splitwaters.

The company aims to streamline operations and potentially cut capital expenditures by up to 30% through modular design principles and efficient project management.

Henrik Rasmussen, Managing Director of Topsoe Americas, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, saying, “We are excited to partner with Splitwaters in licensing process plant technologies for ammonia, methanol, and other electrofuels, including SAF. These energy transition projects are of great significance to both of our companies.”
