Annaholty Green Energy Limited, a Limerick-based company, has submitted proposals to Tipperary County Council for a renewable energy facility near Birdhill, reports Tipp FM.
The project involves the construction of two anaerobic digesters and two manure reception tanks. The facility will use anaerobic digestion to convert organic waste—including agricultural manure and food waste—into renewable energy and nutrient-rich biofertiliser.
The planning application is currently at the pre-validation stage with the local authority.
