Bisalpur (Pilibhit), Uttar Pradesh: In a major move, the Kisan Cooperative sugar mill is set to establish a distillery/ethanol plant on its premises. The decision was unanimously approved during the inaugural meeting of the newly elected board, which took place on Tuesday at the mill’s guesthouse, as reported by Amar Ujala.
The meeting focused on strategies to tackle the mill’s financial challenges, emphasizing the need to cut unnecessary costs and enhance bagasse conservation during the upcoming crushing season.
The board also announced that the new sugarcane crushing season would begin on November 25, with a goal of procuring 30 lakh quintals of sugarcane. Efforts will be made to improve facilities at procurement centers and address farmers’ concerns quickly. Farmers who have yet to submit their declaration forms will be encouraged to do so.
The meeting was attended by key officials, including District Magistrate Sanjay Kumar Singh, who participated online from Pilibhit.
The board is hopeful that these initiatives will strengthen the mill’s operations and provide better support for the farmers it serves.
