Massive investment would be made in priority and green hydrogen sectors: Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde

Pune: Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde visited the Darshan Mandap building in Alandi, Pune district, on Saturday, during the occasion of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Wari Palkhi. He offered prayers to Saint Dnyaneshwar and expressed gratitude for the opportunity.

“I consider myself fortunate to visit here and pray to Saint Dnyaneshwar for the well-being of our farmers, fruitful rains this year, and blessings for all,” Maharashtra CM told reporters. He also announced that the municipal corporation has been allocated Rs 800 crores to combat pollution in the city.

Terming the state budget as “revolutionary,” Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that this budget in a true sense empowers women, youth, and farmers through various schemes worth Rs 1 lakh crore.. He highlighted that this budget marks a resolve to chart a new course for Maharashtra’s development.

Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Ajit Pawar presented the additional budget for the fiscal year 2024-25 in the state assembly on the same day.

CM Shinde said that the lives of farmers would be transformed through various provisions in the budget which include financial assistance to cotton and soybean growers, special campaigns to complete irrigation projects, and solar pumps on demand.

According to the news report published by ANI, stating that massive investment would be made in priority sectors and the green hydrogen sector, CM said that it would generate employment in a big way.
