India will emerge as major global hub for green hydrogen in the near future: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that India and Poland have reached an agreement on social security. He highlighted that the partnership between the two nations has been growing stronger in areas such as new technology and clean energy.

Emphasizing the deepening ties, he said, “I am pleased that the partnership between India and Poland is continuously expanding in fields like new technology and clean energy. Many Indian companies have invested here and created jobs, while numerous Polish companies have generated opportunities in India.”

Speaking to the Indian community in Warsaw, Poland, PM Modi also mentioned that India aims to become a developed nation by 2047 and is pursuing this goal with unprecedented scale and speed.

He also focused on electric vehicles, ethanol, and green hydrogen. He said, “Balancing economy and ecology is a priority for Bharat today. It is India that is moving forward with the resolve of being both a developed nation and a net-zero nation. India is working on a 360-degree approach for a green future. Green mobility is a prime example of this. We are very close to achieving 20 percent ethanol blending in petrol. India is rapidly expanding electric mobility. Today, the sale of electric vehicles is increasing rapidly every year in India. Last year, EV sales grew by more than 40 percent in India. The day is not far when India will become the global centre for EV manufacturing and innovation. You will also see India emerging as a major global hub for green hydrogen in the near future.

On Wednesday, PM Modi arrived in Poland, marking the first visit by an Indian leader to the Central European country in 45 years. His trip to Warsaw coincides with the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between India and Poland. The Indian diaspora welcomed PM Modi with enthusiasm, and he responded warmly. The Prime Minister waved to the crowd and shook hands with several attendees. The Indian community chanted slogans praising PM Modi and expressing “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.”
