Elan Greentech Energies Limited (Elan Energy) has been awarded a contract by GAIL (India) Limited, a Maharatna PSU, to provide Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services for setting up a 14-tonnes-per-day (TPD) Compressed Biogas (CBG) plant in Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh, the company said in a press release.
Under this engagement, Elan Energy will provide end-to-end PMC services for the 14 TPD CBG project for a period of two years, it added.
The Ambikapur CBG project aligns with the Government of India’s focus on promoting alternative fuels, waste-to-energy solutions, and rural economic development through the SATAT initiative and related programmes. Elan Energy said its role as PMC for the project underscores the company’s capability to deliver complex renewable energy and gas infrastructure projects for public sector clients.
Commenting on the development, the company said the prestigious assignment from GAIL further strengthens Elan Energy’s position in the compressed biogas and clean energy sector and reinforces its commitment to supporting India’s transition towards a low-carbon, gas-based economy.
